Ian Hartman

Fell League Winter Challenge 2014/5

In dense mist at Harriers v Cyclists on 15 November, 23 Airedale
Athletics competitors showed experience and good form against top fell
runners from major clubs. Chris Williams (Queensbury) was fifth
runner home (ninth finisher including cyclists), an amazing
achievement given the quality of the field. Jim Wheldon (Baildon) had
a breathtaking run against strong competition to win V60, with
teammate Ian Hartman finishing strongly in the same category.

Going into December Baildon now have a strong team lead with
Queensbury in second place and Skyrac third. Ian Hartman leads the
individual table ahead of Chris Williams and Emma Stoney.

Fixtures in December are Gathering Winter Fools (13th, each club's
fastest team counts for team points), the Stoop at Haworth (21st), the
Chevin Chase on Boxing Day and the Jolly Holly Jog in Ripon on 28th.

Great to have some mud again. Good luck!
