A Successful Weekend for Many!

Personal bests were smashed by many as Baildon runners competed in several races over the weekend including Tadcaster 10 Mile, Spen 10k and Beefy's Nab Fell Race.

Mark Delaney, Nigel Shaw, Linda Carey and Jim Wheldon all managed to achieve new personal bests at the Tadcaster 10 mile.

Andrew Price, Rob Myers and I all enjoyed running Beefy's Nab Fell Race with Rob finishing as first M60, Andrew finishing in 8th place and I finished in 5th.

Others had a strong race at Spen 10k with further personal bests likely to have been smashed (still awaiting results). Congratulations to all! Pictured is coach Sue Coates smashing the Spen 10k. Thanks to Dave Butler for the photograph.

We are based at the Baildon Rugby & Cricket Sports Club on Heygate Lane, off Jenny Lane, Baildon, Shipley BD17 6RS.

We meet on Thursdays at 7:00pm at the cricket pavilion for our main club run. The routes are planned so we all meet back at the sports club at approximately the same time.  Showers are available in the cricket pavilion and afterwards we unwind with a few drinks and food in the bar.

We train on Saturdays at 10:00am, meeting at the Bandstand in Roberts Park. Free parking is available nearby in the public car park with the round turning circle just before the Titus Salt school on Higher Coach Road, Baildon (BD17 5RH is the nearest postcode) - for beginners and improvers.

We also train on Tuesdays at 7:00pm, meeting at the car park on Jenny Lane. Our sessions include speed work, circuits and hill reps. On the first Tuesday of the month we do track work at University Academy, Green Head Road, Keighley BD20 6EB.

Please message info@baildonruunners.co.uk to let us know if you're interested in joining us for the first time, we will confirm the details of our next club run and assist with any queries you may have.
